Oral Video Exams

An intraoral camera is a highly advanced innovation in dentistry that allows us to get a close-up view inside your mouth. The intraoral camera handpiece is approximately the size and shape of a dental mirror. It has a built-in light source, so it gives us easy-to-see video and still pictures. We can zoom in on one tooth or give you a video tour of your entire mouth. The images are displayed on a television or computer monitor, so you will be able to see problems such as worn or broken fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings, gum disease, or excessive wear. After we have treated your dental condition, the intraoral camera lets you see, up close, your beautiful, healthy teeth and gums.
Images captured with an intraoral camera can often be printed out for you to take home or for us to store with your dental record. They can also be sent to specialists and insurance companies.

Dental Technologies

DIAGNOdent™ gives us the ability to discover cavities inSOLEA the earliest stages. Soft tissue lasers allow us to contour gum tissue and restore smiles. Most exciting to our patients is our SOLEA Laser™, which allows us to offer anesthesia-free fillings, which means no shot, no drill, and no numb lip in most cases.

Why Solea?

This alternative to traditional fillings lets us get you in and out of our office more quickly, without you having to wait on the numbing effects of anesthesia.  This process is one of the newest technologies in laser dentistry and our office provides this treatment.  Patients love the experience and our Dentist loves making patients happy with their dental experience.

Plus, we use tooth-colored filling materials on which you can chew immediately after leaving our office.
Digital Radiography (X-Rays)
This system uses less radiation and is more diagnostic. It is also much safer. We use digital sensors to perform intraoral x-rays, which immediately capture the image directly to the computer. Our panoramic and cephlometric imaging system use extraoral digital technology that also transmits directly to the computer. Digital radiography creates more diagnostics images for better treatment.

When your teeth need restoration, we can choose from several types, including: composite (tooth colored) fillings, crowns, bridges, and veneers. Restorations seal out bacteria and restore the shape of the tooth. The type of restoration we recommend depends on how strong the tooth is and how much tooth structure has been lost.

Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease is a serious infection and the number one reason adults lose teeth. As periodontal disease advances, the infection can destroy the ligaments and bone that support your teeth. Once diagnosed periodontal disease is non-reversible, but can be controlled through treatment and 3 month dental wellness visits. Dr. Peter Igoe treats Periodontal Disease using a patient-friendly methods including Perio Protect Trays.

Our orthodontic options include traditional metal braces, invisible braces including Invisalign, and other devices. We will help you choose the right option for your needs. Did you know that braces are not just for kids? Many adults can benefit from orthodontic treatment, which is often the best choice for guiding teeth into a healthy bite and a beautiful smile.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal repairs and saves a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

In-Office Whitening/ Cosmetic Dentistry

Have your teeth whitened with our simple and painless procedure. In Office Whitening can remove tough stains caused from smoking, drinking coffee or tea. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. You’ll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.

TMD/TMJ Issues

Temporomandibular Disorder, or TMD, is a relatively common condition that refers to symptoms that result from a misalignment of the teeth, the upper and lower jaws or, in some cases, the jaw joints themselves. Millions of people suffer from TMD, but with treatment, we restore harmony to the teeth, muscles, and jaw joint, and get you out of pain.
